The seniors fire safety program is a fire safety presentation for active seniors. Seniors are a high risk group.  Due to age related disability older people may be slower to identify a fire in their home and slower to respond.

Fire safety presentations are delivered by retired MFB firefighters. Since its inception in 1993, this group of retired firefighters have spoken to hundreds of seniors groups throughout the metropolitan area including Probus, RSL clubs, church groups, Masonic Lodges and multicultural groups. This program is free of charge and covers home escape and fire prevention along with time for open Q and A.
