24 Mar 2018
Crews are currently on scene at a three-storey abandoned warehouse fire on Pottery Court.

Firefighters responded at 3:34pm this afternoon to find the 100 by 50 metre building alight.

After difficulty gaining access to the building, crews in Breathing Apparatus have commenced an internal attack on the blaze.

The fire is not yet under control.

Thirteen appliances including two aerial units are attending.

Crews have implemented asbestos procedures due to the age of the building.

A nearby four-storey apartment building has been evacuated due to smoke in the area.

Dawson Street is currently closed.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria are assisting on scene.
