Aggressive attack as fire damages Glen Waverley home

A home in Glen Waverley has been extensively damaged by fire overnight.

MFB crews were called to the Galahad Crescent home at 8.54pm.

The initial call was for a fire in the bedroom, on arrival the house was well involved with flames issuing through the roof at the rear.

Firefighters aggressively attacked the fire internally and were able to contain the fire to the rear of the house.

Damage to the rear was extensive with heavy smoke logging to the remainder of the home. All occupants were out of the house on MFB crews arrival.

The fire was deemed under control in 20 minutes.

MFB fire investigators are attending the scene this morning to determine a cause.

Damage to the property is estimated to be $250,000.

Police and AV attended.
