Ashburton house fire

Fire involved a single storey concrete house of approximately 15 squares.

The fire has been contained to one room of the premises with some fire extension into the roof area. The room and contents were severely damaged by fire while the roof area has suffered some fire damage. The remainder of the premises has been severely damaged by heat and smoke.

The occupants of the premises self evacuated without injury. Under control in 11 minutes. Breathing apparatus in operation. Fire duty in place. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
