Brighton home fire

Fire has extensively damaged a single story home this evening. The MFB were called by several neighbours due to the severity of the fire.

On arrival Firefighters from Highett & Ormond found the home well alight.

The occupant was out of the house and no injuries were advised to the MFB. The fire has been confined to Kitchen, lounge room and rumpus room the crews also checked the roof space for fire spread.

MFB crew will be in attendance over night and Fire Investigation Officer requested to attend in daylight hours. It took some 40 mins to bring under control.
