Car crashes into Jacana hospital

MFB firefighters are currently in Jacana where a car has crashed into a hospital.

Crews were called to the incident in Johnstone Street just before 10pm after the car was reversed into the rear wall of the facility.

The driver has been transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

A number of patients in the vicinity of the crash have been moved to other areas of the hosptial by staff, firefighters and police officers.

The incident has left a hole in the wall of the building. Firefighters and emergency services expect to remain on scene for some time.

The building will need to be shored up before the car can be removed.
