Car drives into Yarraville home

17 May 2017
A Yarraville house had to be evacuated after a car drove into the front of it this evening.

MFB responded to a car into the front of a two storey house on Ballarat Street about 8.20pm, with no one trapped but some relatively minor injuries reported.

Crews have determined that the structure requires propping up to stabilise it, so MFB specialist Urban Search and Rescue technicians have responded to make the area safe.

One person has been transported to hospital for observation.

Crews will be on scene for approximately another hour until declared safe by both the USAR team and Municipal Building Surveyor.

The occupants will have alternate accommodation arranged for them.
