Car into building in Clayton

MFB firefighters are on scene in Clayton after a car crashed into a coffee shop this afternoon.

Firefighters, including specialist Rescue and Urban Search And Rescue crews were deployed to the incident on Clayton Road, just before 12.30pm.

Four people, including the driver and three occupants of the building were treated by Ambulance Victoria paramedics on scene and transported to hospital as a precaution.

The building has been extensively damaged by the incident and crews are expected to be on scene for some time to ensure it is safe.

Victoria Police and local council were also on scene for support.
