Car into house in Essendon

Firefighters are currently on scene in Essendon where a car has crashed into a house.

Crews were called to the incident in McCracken Street about 4.45pm.

Ambulance Victoria paramedics assessed the female driver at the scene and determined she did not require hospital treatment.

The occupants of the home also escaped injury.

Firefighters, including Urban Search and Rescue technicians, removed the car from the house and shored up the damaged building to make sure it was safe.

They will be leaving the scene shortly.
