06 Oct 2018
MFB firefighters arrived on scene in six minutes to a car fire on Orrong Road in Caulfield North.

A car was fully involved under the carport between two units on the property. The arriving crew requested additional support and extra fire trucks were dispatched.

The fire spread to a second vehicle and into the roof of one of the single storey houses.

MFB crews in breathing apparatus worked quickly to bring the blaze under control in 18 minutes.

All occupants of the two units evacuated safely and the surrounding properties were unharmed.

Ambulance Victoria attended to one firefighter and he has since been released.

The fire has been deemed suspicious and has been handed over to Victoria Police for further investigation.
