Cars burnt in Taylors Lakes grassfire

Six cars have been damaged after a fire broke out near Watergardens Shopping Centre this afternoon.

MFB firefighters were called to the incident which unfolded in a Kings Road paddock shortly before 5.30pn. 
What began as a small grassfire spread quickly in the windy conditions and raced towards the nearby shopping centre car park.
The fire grew to approximately six acres.
MFB and CFA crews acted quickly and managed to contain the fire within 30 minutes.
The blaze has now been extinguished however firefighters are expected to remain on scene for the next hour to ensure its safe. 
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
