Chapel Street Fire

A fire broke out the morning at two storey premises, mainly in the ceiling space and air conditioning ducts.

Date: 3 February, 2011 
Time: 01:48 hours     
Call Number 750

Address: Chapel Street, South Yarra.

The ground floor retail area escaped unscathed whilst the first storey night club area suffered some smoke and water damage along with the fire.

The cause is not yet known and is still being investigated.

A watching duty will continue throughout the morning.

The blaze was brought under control in twenty five minutes and no injuries were recorded.
