Firefighters were called to a house on Justin Avenue at 6:24pm this evening.

Crews arrived to find the single storey brick home fully involved and fire impinging on the roof.

Firefighters in Breathing Appartus commenced an interior attack, with asbestos procedures also implemented due to the age of the building.

The occupants of the 20 by 20 metre house had self-evacuated prior to crews arriving.

The blaze was declared under control at 6:51pm.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Ambulance Victoria also assisted on scene.
