Crews attend fire at DFO, South Wharf

Fire held in check by sprinkler system and brought under control quickly

At 3pm this afternoon crews attended a fire in the Lacoste store at DFO South Wharf. 

The fire was held in check by an installed sprinkler system and  brought under control quickly by firefighters.

The centre was evacuated by Victoria Police due to the amount of smoke, and MFB crews will remain on scene for some time due to the smoke logging of the store. 

A cause has yet to be determined and is currently under investigation.

Seven appliances and thirty firerfighters attended the incident.
