17 Apr 2016
While Melbourne slept, MFB firefighters have been hard at work battling a rubbish fire in Brooklyn.

Crews were called to the scene, at a recycling yard in Jones Road, just before 6.30am and arrived to find a large pile of rubbish in flames.
The fire is currently under control and is not threatening any buildings in the vicinity.
Firefighters are using a bulldozer and excavator to rip the pile of rubbish apart while water is pumped onto it.
The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.
