28 Dec 2012
Fire has caused up to $100,000 damage to a terraced house in West Melbourne.

The fire was reported on Friday December 28 shortly after 5pm with fire crews arriving at the Adderley St address in less than three minutes.
The single fronted premises has a two storey extension at the rear and the blaze started in an upstairs bedroom located within that extension.  Fire damage was contained mainly to the bedroom and an adjoining hallway.  A kitchen and lounge-room located just below the bedroom sustained some water damage along with many of the flooring timbers.

No-one was home at the time of the fire.  The fire was brought under control in 20 minutes and the cause is under investigation.
