Crews battle grass fire in Campbellfield

MFB firefighters are currently on scene in Campbellfield following a grass and shrub fire.

Crews were called to a paddock in National Boulevard just after 4.30pm following multiple Triple Zero (000) calls.

At the height of the blaze, approximately 25 firefighters and 6 appliances were on scene as smoke drifted southward.

It took crews approximately 50 minutes to get the incident under control  and firefighters remain on scene blacking out.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area while emergency services conduct their operations.
