Crews bring house fire in Lalor under control in just over ten minutes

Just after 2pm this afternoon, MFB crews attended a house fire in Bellarine Drive, Lalor.

Arriving on scene firefighters found the bedroom fully alight with the fire penetrating the roof space and taking hold in the kitchen. 

Crews quickly tackled the blaze and their aggressive attack brought the fire under control in just over ten minutes.

A neighbouring house also suffered some damage.

The cause is currently undetermined and MFB Specialist Fire Investigators are on scene. 

Crews will be remaining on scene to continue to extinguish hot spots.

Eight MFB and two CFA appliances attended the blaze and over twenty five firefighters.
