Crews free man trapped in machine at Thomastown

Approximately 20 MFB firefighters were called to assist a worker after his arm became trapped in a machine at a brick making factory on Trawalla Avenue in Thomastown just before 8am.

Despite difficulties with access, specialist MFB crews worked quickly to free the man who was trapped three levels above the ground. 

Ambulance Victoria Paramedics stabalised the man, and firefighter swiftly freed him from the machine before moving him to ground-level using a strecher. 

The man has been transported to hospital in the care of paramedics, and Work Safe has been notified.
