Crews in attendance of minor chemical leak in Bellfield

Firefighters responded to a minor leak of an unknown chemical in Bellfield at 9:21am this morning.

The incident involved two 2 litre containers that ruptured on the back of a tray truck in a council yard.

Three workers have been exposed and were treated by Ambulance Victoria.

18 people have been evacuated.

Full hazmat procedures are in place.

Police are also assisting in setting up an exclusion zone.

MFB's Scientific Officer has also responded.
