Crews on scene at Yarraville house fire

MFB firefighters have gained the upper hand of a house fire in Yarraville this afternoon.

Crews were called to the house in Williamstown Road about 4.30pm and arrived to find the building engulfed in flames.

It took 35 firefighters just under 1.5 hours to get the fire under control.

Luckily, the occupants had self-evacuated prior to the arrival of emergency services.

Crews remain on scene.
