Crews tackle kitchen fire in Malvern

Firefighters were called to Glenferrie Road, Malvern at 3:09pm following multiple reports of smoke and flames issuing from Noodle Box.

Crews wearing Breathing Apparatus attacked the fire from the ground and also used an aerial appliance to tackle it from above.

The fire was primarily concentrated to the kitchen area but had also extended through the roof of the shop.

All staff and patrons had evacuated safely.

The fire was declared Under Control after 43 minutes.

Due to the swift work of firefighters on scene, the blaze has been contained to an air conditioning unit.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria are also on scene assisting.
