Deceased body found in Dallas house fire.

A person, gender and age unknown at this stage, has been located deceased on the bed in the bedroom.

The fire was contained mainly to the side and roof area including a bedroom on the north side of the premises.

The bedroom and contents have been severely damaged by fire while the remainder of the premises has been severely damaged by heat and smoke.

A proportion of the roof area above the bedroom has also been severely damaged by fire.

Working smoke alarms were fitted to the building and were operating when MFB arrived on-scene within four minutes of receiving the initial call.

It was under control in 5 minutes.

Approximately 8 firefighters attended.
