Deceased male found in unit fire, Fitzroy.

Fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus forced entry into a burning unit on Saturday.

Address: Glenlyon Rd, Fitzroy North

MFB crews were on-scene within three minutes of the initial call being received and contained the fire to the lounge room on the top floor of a two storey block of units.

Fire fighters have located a deceased male, on a couch in the lounge room.

A small portion of the lounge room and contents has been severely damaged by fire while a portion of the remainder of the unit has been damaged by heat and smoke.
