Doncaster grass fire flares up for a second time

MFB crews have attended a second scrub fire in Doncaster.

Firefighters were called to a grass fire on Gedye Street in Doncaster East about 3.18pm. It's believed to be a reignition of a fire from overnight.

Residents feared the blaze may impact on residential fences.

The scrub fire, measuring 100 by 50 metres, was deemed under control at 3.52pm.

Two people had to be treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

The cause not yet been identified, however police are in attedance.
