02 Dec 2013
An Albanvale house was significantly damaged by fire yesterday afternoon.

After receiving several calls for a house fire firefighters arrived on scene just after 4.40pm to find a two storey residence, with the second storey well alight.

Due to structural problems firefighters were unable to enter the building and external fire fighting was required with the assistance of an aerial appliance.

An electrical fault is believed to be the cause of the fire and police will be investigating.

The second storey of the building was extensively damaged with damage estimated at over $100,000.

Breathing Apparatus was utilised at this fire.
