The fire involved a three phase power cable connected to a series of salt baths.

Address: Shafton St and Stafford St, Huntingdale.

The fire involved a three phase power cable connected to a series of salt baths.

It would appear that the electrical cable had shorted out causing the fire.

Quick work by fire fighters prevented the fire from reaching the salt baths and several containers of Sulphuric Acid and Soduim Carbonate in the immediate area.

A section of the premises at the rear including a section of the roof area has been damaged by fire while a portion of the remainder of the building has been damaged by heat and smoke.

Under control in 30 minutes.
