Factory fire in Greensborough affecting traffic and train line.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade responded to a call received at 14.34 at Mower and Chainsaw Supplies in Para Road Greensborough.

The factory fire is now under control with 15 MFB trucks in attendance, three CFA trucks are also on scene as are Victoria Police. Approximately 70 firefighters are in attendance.

There is a substantial amount of smoke in the air which is blowing in a north-easterly direction affecting Greensborough and Briar Hill. People should keep doors and windows closed.

Para road is closed in both directions, and the railway line is closed between Greensborough and Montmorency.

Two explosions were heard earlier; however MFB is trying to ascertain the cause of these explosions. There are no injuries.
