11 Dec 2016
MFB firefighters had a busy night after a large fire ripped through a community centre in Fawkner.

A passer by saw flames lapping the building and called Triple Zero (000) about 2.30am.
When firefighters arrived on scene in Lowson St, they found the 30m x 40m building ablaze, with the fire threatening adjoining properties.
Crews fought to protect these properties first before attacking the main fire.
A teleboom aerial appliance was used to combat the fire from above.
The fire was under control within 50 minutes.
MFB fire investigators have determined that the incident is suspicious and Victoria Police is investigating
