Fire at Essendon restaurant.

A Chinese restaurant has sustained approximately $350,000 damage.

Adjoining buildings suffered smoke and water damage after the fire moved in to the roof area of the double storey premises.


A male in his thirties who suffered minor burns was treated at the scene by Ambulance Victoria and then transported to hospital.


MFB specialist investigators will attend later to try to establish a cause. The blaze took just on an hour to bring under control.
