Occupants treated for smoke inhalation

At 5.24am this morning MFB received a fire call to a house fire in Lobb Street, Brunswick.

Arriving on scene they found the single storey weather board house well alight and extra crews were dispatched as there were reports of possible people trapped.

MFB firefighters in breathing apparatus searched the premises and three occupants were located, and treated for smoke inhalation by Ambulance Victoria. 

Eight appliances and thirty firefighters tackled the blaze, which took thirty minutes to bring under control.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
