23 Nov 2018
Firefighters attended a fire which broke out at a bus depot on Ricketts Road in Mt Waverley overnight.

Crews arrived on scene just after 3AM to a fire which had spread to three coaches which were parked in a row at the depot.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked hard to bring the blaze under control quickly, despite difficulties with access.

At the peak of the fire there were six MFB appliances on scene, with an additional MFB unit.

At the time of the fire there was a large amount of smoke near the Monash Freeway, and a community advice message was issued.

Thankfully there were no injuries. At this stage, the cause of the blaze is not yet known.
