Fire at Victoria University in St Albans.

The fire was in a large building under construction which contained a basketball court, gymnasium area and an office section.

The fire originated from the floor and spread up into the roof area.

Roof timbers and ductwork plus electrical wiring have been severely damaged by fire also a large section of the plaster board ceiling had to be removed to extinguish the fire.

A portion of the remainder of the premises has been damaged by heat, smoke and water.
