Fire damages Indian restaurant in Prahran

An Indian restaurant in Prahran has been damaged after a fire at the shop this afternoon.

Crews were called to Flavours of India on Commercial Road just after 3pm.

The fire was threatening nearby properties and crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control.

The fire involved a storage area and was deemed under control within the hour.

Breathing apparatus was in use.

The cause not yet known and will be investigated.
