Fire in Clayton

MFB crews were assisted by CFA crews in fighting a large stack of timber pallets (15m x 15m x 15m) and due to the heavy plume of smoke visible for a long distance extra resources were dispatched early.

The pallets are well involved in fire and six fire appliances are engaged in combating the large blaze.​
 
The heavy smoke was lingering in the area, but due to the conditions will take a while to clear.
 
Fire crews will be in attendance for some time.
