Firefighters attend Moorabbin factory fire

Fire crews battled a fire at a Moorabbin factory over the weekend.

Crews were called to the Genoa Street property at 8.19pm on Saturday 11 July.

Triple-zero received several calls after flames were seen coming from the roof of an industrial premises.

The fire appliance was on scene in four minutes and upgraded the call, requesting more resources.

The seat of the fire was in the roof space with smoke logging of the upper floor.

Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus attacked the fire in the roof and checked the rest of the building for any extension of the fire.

The fire was declared under control after 44 minutes. A search of the building ensured all occupants were accounted for.

At this stage the cause hasn’t been determined.
