19 Feb 2019
MFB firefighters are currently on scene in Beaumaris where a house fire has broken out.

Crews were called to the Rennison Street address about 9.10pm and arrived to find a double storey home in flames.

Four people had safely evacuated from the building and aren't injured.

There are several crews on scene currently battling the blaze amid strong sea breezes.

It appears the fire began on the top storey of the home.

At one stage, embers from the fire were threatening neighbouring properties but crews have so far managed to contain the fire to the original house.

Community members are advised to avoid the area while emergency services carry out their operations.
