Firefighters battle Glen Waverley blaze

MFB firefighters are currently in Glen Waverley, following a fire at a school this morning.

The fire broke out in the atrium building of Wesley College on Medina Road about 5.15am.

Approximately 60 firefighters from MFB and CFA in 16 appliances  are on scene.

The fire, measuring 50x50m is currently contained to the atrium and several classrooms.

No one was in the building at the time.

Parents, teachers and students are advised not to attend the college this morning as it will be closed.
