MFB firefighters are currently battling a fire which broke out at an abandoned house in Glenroy this afternoon.

MFB firefighters are currently battling a fire which broke out at an abandoned house in Glenroy this afternoon.

Crews were called to the scene, in Trevannion Street, just before 2.30pm, arriving to find the house fully engulfed and smoke billowing out.

The roof of the property has collapsed.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus are aggressively attacking the fire to stop it spreading to neighbouring houses.

At this stage, the blaze is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police will investigate.
