Firefighters battle Laverton North blaze

MFB firefighters are currently battling a blaze which broke out at a Laverton North factory this afternoon.

 It's believed the fire began in a large pile of rubbish and metal scraps at the Doherty Road premises just after 3pm. 
Firefighters are aggressively attacking the fire.
CFA crews are on scene providing support.
The pile is 100 metres long, 10 metres high and 10 metres wide.
There is not believed to be any threat to the community but drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
