19 Apr 2016
MFB firefighters are currently in Sydenham after a fire ripped through a church hall this morning.

MFB and CFA crews were called to the premises, on Sydenham Road, just before 10am after numerous calls to Triple Zero (000).
Residents were evacuated as the fire threatened to spread to neighbouring homes.
Firefighters in six appliances managed to contain the blaze to the hall and an adjoining shed.
The fire was under control within 20 minutes.
No one was injured during the incident.
Fire Investigators will attend the scene this morning to determine the cause of the blaze.
