Firefighters battle blaze at disused Ringwood factory

back to list
28 Apr 2014
Heavy smoke made it difficult for firefighters to extinguish a factory fire in Ringwood early this morning.

Crews were called to the factory on Heatherdale Road in Ringwood just before 5.30am.

On arrival they discovered a disused factory measuring 40 by 20 metres involved in fire.

The fire took an hour to bring under control due to the heavy smoke logging and difficult access.

Rescue units were called to cut open roller doors to allow firefighters better access to the blaze.

Firefighters are still on scene. The cause will be investigated.
