Firefighters battle large factory fire in Maffra St, Coolaroo

MFB crews were called to a large a major factory fire in a recycling material business at Maffra St Coolaroo just after 3:30am this morning

The fire involves machinery that has spread to the factory 100m x 100 metres 
which is now totally involved.

Multiple aerial appliances are being used and in addition, crews in breathing apparatus are conducting internal fire fighting operations to bring the fire under control. 

100 persons have been evacuated from the site.

The fire is yet to be declared under control.

The cause is yet to be established but fire investigators are on scene.

Police and ambulance are assisting with the incident, and a community warning has been issued for smoke in the area.
