MFB firefighters responded to a house fire in St Albans this afternoon amid heavy wind conditions.
Approximately 30 firefighters responded, following a number of calls to Triple Zero (000) reporting visible flames from the roof of the home.
Initial crews arrived on scene just over five minutes after the first Triple Zero call to find heavy smoke and the house fully involved, and worked quickly to ensure flames didn’t spread.
MFB firefighters wearing breathing apparatus conducted an internal search and found no occupants in the home.
Crews brought the fire under control at 3.58pm, just 20 minutes after their arrival on scene. No cause has been determined at this time.
Smoke remains in the area and a Community Advice message has been issued. Victoria Police are at the scene.
