Firefighters prevent Brighton blaze spreading to other homes

MFB firefighters have protected surrounding properties after being called to a detached workshop fire at the back of a premises in Brighton.

Crews were called to the Hampton Street property at 7.45pm.
The first trucks on scene found the five by three metre timber structure, at the rear of the property, well alight and potentially threatening properties at the rear.
Quick action from attending crews has extinguished the fire and confined the fire to the workshop.
The fire took 38 minutes to bring under control.
Our Fire Investigation team will attend in the morning to determine a cause.
