Firefighters rescue man pinned by a Bobcat in Prahran

Firefighters were called to a Prahran worksite this afternoon after a man was injured in a Bobcat accident.

MFB rescue crews were despatched for a 35 year old male with his leg pinned between the bucket and body of the Bobcat he was operating, on a construction site in Jessamine Avenue.

Crews waited for AV to stabilise the man before releasing the trapped leg, it took approximately 20 minutes to release the patient.

The man was transported to hospital with severe upper leg injuries.

Police, AV and Workcover attended.
