Firefighters rescue tradie hanging from Kensington balcony

A workman performing maintenance became trapped from a third floor balcony in Kensington this afternoon.

Fire and rescue crews rushed to the Clifford Terrace complex at 3.25pm.

The initial reports were that he was hanging by his foot in a balustrade.

The first crew on scene worked to secure him with a rope until he could be brought down safely.

A ladder platform was used to gain to access him and then bring him safely down to the ground where he was attended to by Ambulance Victoria.

He is not believed to be seriously injured.

It was reported the he had been hanging for up half an hour.
