30 Apr 2019
MFB’s specialist High Angle Rescue Technicians (HART) were called to help rescue a man who became trapped on the first floor of a building in Ivanhoe after a workplace accident involving steel cable.

Ambulance Victoria Paramedics worked to stabilise the patient while MFB HART operators used specialised rescue equipment in a bid to bring him down from where he was trapped on the first floor.

Almost 20 firefighters were called to the Waterdale Road address just after noon on Tuesday.

They worked carefully to lower the man down to safety where he could be transported to hospital for further treatment.

WorkSafe and Victoria Police were also in attendance at the scene.
