MFB’s specialist High Angle Rescue Technicians (HART) have rescued a man from a factory on Yarra Street in Abbotsford, just before 4pm this afternoon.

The man had sustained a serious injury to his leg and was unable to move from his position on the first floor as it was only accessible via a ladder.

MFB's HART firefighters worked to safely lower the man to the ground using rope lines and a harness.

Crews from Richmond fire station managed to quickly perform the technical operation and ensured the patient was transported to hospital in the care of Ambulance Victoria Paramedics.
