Extensive fire damage has been caused to the single storey, brick veneer home. A family of four evacuated when one of the bedrooms caught fire.

The fire spread into the hallway, roof and floor space.  The remainder of the property is smoke and water damaged.

MFB firefighters took only 5 minutes to arrive on scene, from receiving the call, this enabled them to stop the spread of fire into the remainder of the home.

One of the male occupants was using soldering equipment which came into contact with flammable liquids, igniting and causing the fire.  He has received minor burns to feet and hands.
